agree it's crap have defended it
Boarded up and shite.
Lovely stately homes up the road. The town centre's boarded up.
Worksop calls itself the Gateway to the Dukeries, which means Clumber Park and the big estates are up the road and that's where you should be heading. The town centre is boarded-up shops, vape shops and buildings left to rot, with nothing for the teenagers to do. It used to grow liquorice. Now it mostly grows shutters.
And it sets fire to things. Fires get started on purpose at 4.3 times the typical town's, grass, woods and crops more than anything, so the countryside is getting it as well. Shoplifting's through the roof. Bassetlaw charges £2,645 for a Band D and recycles barely more than a quarter of what goes in the bins. The takeaways are spotless, mind. Somebody in Worksop is doing their job.
