About Crap Towns

Every town in Britain, England, Wales and Scotland, gets a sign, a Crap Score and a good slagging. London's one big sprawl, so it gets done borough by borough.

The score comes from public figures: fly-tipping, anti-social behaviour, vandalism, sewage pumped into the river, grotty kitchens and serious crashes. The more of that a town has, the crapper it scores. The rude bits are ours. The numbers aren't.

It's for fun. It's meant to start arguments down the pub, not settle them. If your town's top of the table, that's not a personal insult. It's a council one.

We never have a go at anyone for being skint, and we never name people or businesses. We do have a go at fly-tippers, taggers, joyriders and the people who let the place get like this.
