Very nice. Irritating.

A grand Hall and a lovely Market Square. The sewage spills are less respectable.

Winslow has a grand Hall, a pretty Market Square, an agricultural show and a beer festival, and nothing much goes wrong. Irritating. The moans are lorries belting down the High Street, people speeding on Sheep Street and a road surface falling apart.

And the sewage. The storm overflows round Winslow went off for nearly six times the typical town's hours. Buckinghamshire council had 69 complaints upheld by the ombudsman in a year, so complaining gets you somewhere, at least. There's no public pool. Probably for the best.
