A city, they reckon
A village that calls itself a city, has a place called Dumps Hill, and hung cabbages on lampposts.
Whitwick calls itself the City of Dan, and some of the addresses say City of Three Waters, which is a lot of city for a village next to Coalville. It has a place called Dumps Hill, and nobody can agree how it got the name. The old fair used to tie cabbages to the lampposts. There are 9 pubs and 1 hairdresser, so the priorities are clear.
The city has no public park. Its pool shut in 2022 and the replacement is going somewhere else. The storm overflows spill for nearly five times as long as the typical town's. City of Three Waters. One of them's sewage.
