Driffield. Capital of not much.
Big agricultural show once a year. The rest of the time, litter round the benches.
Driffield calls itself the Capital of the Wolds, and nobody's arguing because nobody else wants the job. The big day out is the agricultural show. The rest of the year it's cars on the double yellows on Middle Street and moaning about lads on Middle Street South, in a town with half the typical anti-social behaviour.
The canal head's run low. The sewage hasn't. The sewers nearby overflow for five times as long as the typical town's. The buses run about a fifth as often as the typical town's, so once you're in the capital you're stopping.
