Whose drains? Nobody's drains.
A nice old shoe-making village that floods every time it rains hard.
Sileby made boots and stockings, and Mountsorrel reckons its lads kept nicking their maypole. That's the feud, and it's been going for centuries. The real problem is water. Houses and streets keep flooding, the roads out go under, nobody can agree whose drains are blocked and the fixes take forever. So obviously they keep building more houses.
When it isn't flooding, something's on fire. Deliberate fires, mostly bins, run 49% above the typical town's and have jumped lately, and the vandals have been getting busier too. There are 2 pubs, and the old joke round here is that the biggest room in Sileby is the room for improvement.
