Not the sausages.
A pretty village with a steam railway, lots of pubs and floods every time it rains.
Quorn is a pretty village with steam trains, granite quarries and more than twice the typical town's pubs per head. They shortened the name from Quorndon so the post would stop going to Quarndon, then carried on using both. And yes, it's that Quorn, sort of. Every visitor makes the sausage joke. Every single one.
It floods. They did the flood works and it still floods, and the lanes for miles round turn into a car park. When the water goes down, the sewers overflow for ten times as long as the typical town's, so it isn't only rain you're wading through. The public pool shut in 2020 to save money. The village does its own swimming every winter.
