Stone to Westminster, fly-tips back
The limestone went to Westminster. The fly-tippers came here instead.
North Anston's limestone built the Houses of Parliament, and it's been apologising ever since. The woods and crags are nice. The rest is cars parked all down Quarry Lane, new houses eating the fields and more fly-tipping and sewage than a place this size should manage. The stone got out. Lucky stone.
The sewers nearby overflow for over seven times as long as the typical town's, and the local yobs keep setting the woods alight at nearly five times the typical rate. There's 1 pub for the whole place. Nobody nicks anything, mind.
