Halifax Road isn't a racetrack, lads
Liversedge has a Luddite statue, a lot of pubs and drivers who treat Halifax Road like Silverstone.
Liversedge was a mill town and still has a Luddite statue in Sparrow Park. These days the bother's on the roads. Halifax Road and Littletown get driven like a racetrack, and serious crashes run well over the typical town's rate. The fly-tippers are busy too.
Stuff gets torched at over four times the typical town's rate, and the bins at seven times. Kirklees recycles 27% of the rubbish, so the rest gets dumped or burnt. 2 swimming pools have shut since 2010. There's 14 pubs, so at least you can walk to one and stay off the roads. Safest place in town.
