agree it's crap have defended it
Riots in 1816. Nothing since.
High street's run down, buses are rare, and the decent shops are in Ely.
Littleport had riots in 1816, a Boat Race when the Thames was busy, and a ghost dog called Black Shuck. Since then, sod all. The high street's run down and everyone goes to Ely for anything.
Not on a Sunday, mind, because there isn't a single bus, and the last one on a Wednesday goes at 7.05pm. So people make do with what's here, and some of them don't pay for it: shoplifting is running at 19.4 per 1,000 people a year, against 7.1 in the typical town. Low hygiene ratings come in at three times the typical town. There are plenty of parks to sit in while you think about Ely.
