Finningley. Ask the peacocks.
There's an airport with no flights and peacocks wandering about. Nothing else happens.
Finningley is a quiet village near Doncaster with a duck pond, a green and peacocks walking round like they own it. The airport next door shut. Some want it back, some dread the night flights, and the arguing passes the time. Crime's low. The peacocks make more noise than the planes did.
The local yobs are setting fire to the countryside, mind. Fires get started on purpose at over four times the typical town's rate, mostly grass and crops. And for a place that had an international airport, 4.3% of homes can't even get the legal minimum broadband speed. There's no public park either. The peacocks have the green.
