Even the glassworks got out
Edenthorpe used to be called Streetthorpe. It's still basically a street.
Kirk Sandall was built for the glassworks, and Edenthorpe used to be called Streetthorpe until it fancied something posher. These days it's houses outside Doncaster with more on the way, people speeding and crashing on Brecks Lane and the quiet walks being built on. Nothing to do but go into Doncaster.
It's dry, at least. You get rain on 111 days a year, and the storm overflows barely spill at all. Burglary's nearly twice the typical town's, mind, so the new houses are getting visitors. There's 1 hairdresser and no swimming pool. Doncaster it is, then.
