Even the name's lazy
Clarks made shoes here. Now coachloads come to buy cheap ones at the outlet.
Street is the town Clarks built, and its big attraction is an outlet village selling cheap shoes. Otherwise, they found fossils in the quarries and there's an outdoor pool.
HSBC, Lloyds and NatWest have all shut their branches. The roadworks on Somerton Road send everyone round the houses, the kitchens are dodgier than most and the sewage goes in the river. Glastonbury's next door and it's worse. Small mercies.
