Treacle Town. Sticky.
Nobody knows why it's called Treacle Town. Everybody knows to avoid the centre at night.
Nuneaton is Treacle Town, and nobody can agree why. It's also Sunny Nunny, which is a lie: it gets the same grey as everywhere else. Its people are Codders, the football club is the Boro, and the town centre feels dodgy enough after dark that most of them stay out of it.
Anti-social behaviour is up at 1.7 times the typical town's and it's getting worse. The takeaways get 0 to 2 from the hygiene inspectors at 1.8 times the typical town's rate, and they shut Camp Hill library in 2022. The new estates keep coming and you still can't get a doctor. Bedworth loves all this. Bedworth also scores crapper, so Bedworth can shut up.
