Huyton. The Village is closing.
Huyton Village used to be busy. Now it's shutters, and some of the kitchens are a worry.
Huytonians call the town centre the Village, which is a big word for a precinct that keeps losing shops. What's left is quieter than it was, and there's bother hanging about round it. Speeders use Bridge Road in Roby as a track.
Then there's the food. The hygiene inspectors hand out 0 to 2 nearly six times as often as in the typical town, and more than one in five takeaways gets one. There are nearly four times as many deliberate fires as in the typical town, bins mostly. Court Hey Park's nice.
