Drains full. Fields next.
A village green, a gala and drains that can't cope.
Gildersome's got a green and a gala, so it still gets to call itself a village. The developers want the fields, and the drains already overflow onto what's left. The stations went years ago.
The storm overflows nearby go off for over three times the typical town's hours, and crude sewage went in the water in 2024. The nitrogen dioxide off the motorway is half as much again as the typical town's. There's a Greggs and 6 pubs. That's your Saturday sorted.
