Ecclesfield. Mind the mattress.
Old villages, nice woods, a lot of fly-tipping and a lot of crashes.
Ecclesfield and Grenoside are old villages swallowed by Sheffield that still think they're villages. Grenoside does sword dancing. Ecclesfield does traffic jams on lanes built for carts. Halifax Road queues, Wheel Lane is a rat run, and serious crashes run at nearly twice the typical town's rate.
The fly-tipping's worse than most, burglary's nearly twice the typical town's, and everyone's up in arms about houses on the green belt. There's 12 pubs and buses every few minutes till gone midnight, so at least nobody has to drive home. Greno Woods is nice. Go there and stay there.
