Dug up and stinking.
An old coaching town with its stocks still up and HS2 digging round the back.
Coleshill still has its old stocks and whipping post on the High Street, which tells you plenty. HS2 has dug up everything round it, the lorries never stop and the diggings stink. The air's over the health guidelines on both counts, with nitrogen dioxide at 1.6 times the typical town's, and the roads see nearly twice the typical town's bad crashes.
Then there's the car crime, which is through the roof, and burglary well above most towns. The sewers overflow for more than four times as long as the typical town's, and there's no pool. The High Street is bookies, charity shops and a Greggs. It scores crapper than anywhere else in Warwickshire, Bedworth included, and Bedworth will want that in writing.
