Lock your bike up
The river's lovely. The town centre has empty shops and some grubby kitchens.
Walton-on-Thames has the river and a nice bridge with a queue on it at all hours. The high street has empty shops, the town centre gets rowdy at night and the commute to London costs a fortune. They made silent films here once. Now they nick bikes.
Bikes vanish at nearly three times the typical town's rate. The kitchens are 2.6 times as likely as the typical town's to be rated 0 to 2, and you're breathing 1.6 times the typical town's nitrogen dioxide. Lovely river, mind.
