Rogerstone. Follow the diversion.
A big flight of canal locks, and the sewage pouring down past them.
Rogerstone's got a famous flight of canal locks and used to roll aluminium. Now lorries use it as a short cut to the M4, the double roundabout is a pothole with paint on, and Cwm Lane keeps shutting with diversion signs that make no sense whatsoever.
The storm drains chuck out sewage for nearly 23 times as long as the typical town's, and Newport council's fly-tipping runs at over four times the typical Welsh council's. Over half the place lives more than 400 metres from a park. Nice locks.
