Bring a jumper. In July.
Sat on a hill between Bradford and Halifax, getting all the snow neither of them wanted.
Queensbury sits on top of a hill between Bradford and Halifax, and it snows up here when it's sunny down there. The gritters don't make it up, the roads are lethal and the crashes prove it. The fly-tippers make it up the hill fine, mind. There's a brass band, and a railway tunnel they've been arguing about reopening for years.
It chucks it down on 165 days a year and the sun puts in 1,302 hours, so when it isn't snowing it's pissing down. There's no public park on the map and the swimming pool's shut. There's 7 pubs and 1 hairdresser. Hats are cheaper.
