It's not Eaglescliffe.
Pretty green, Georgian cottages, and everyone thinks you mean Eaglescliffe.
Egglescliffe is a pretty village with a green and Georgian cottages, and nobody can tell it from Eaglescliffe next door. It's at the end of a dead-end road, but somehow Butts Lane and Back Lane are full of traffic, and builders' lorries chew up the green. Crime barely registers. Annoyingly nice.
The library shut in 2017. The sewage hasn't. The storm overflows nearby go off for over five times the typical town's hours, and both serious pollution incidents round here since 2016 were the major kind. Some homes fall short of even the legal minimum broadband, and the last bus goes at 9.22pm. Eaglescliffe can have it.
