Lads on motorbikes down the cut-through
The Romans buried their money here. Nobody's dug up anything better since.
Darfield's claim to fame is Roman coins dug out of the ground. Since then, mostly coal and motorbikes. The bikes tear round the cut-through by Venetian Crescent and the vandals keep busy. The museum's nice. Quiet, as well.
For a village this size it's a proper effort. The water company lets sewage out nearby for nearly nine times as long as in the typical town, burglary comes in at well over twice the typical town's, and 10% of the food places score 0 to 2. There's 1 pub. The Romans buried their money for a reason.
