agree it's crap have defended it
Windham. Get it right.
Spelt Wymondham, said Windham, and they'll correct you before you've finished.
Wymondham is spelt like that and said Windham, and the locals love watching you get it wrong. It's a tidy old market town with a timber Market Cross, a museum in the old prison and hardly any trouble. The new houses keep spreading over the fields and nobody can get a doctor's appointment.
There are still 7 banks on the map, more than five times the typical town's per head, but 4 branches have shut since 2022 and a banking hub's moved in. Give it time. Attleborough, the arch-rival down the road, comes out less crap. Nobody in Wymondham says that out loud.
