The banknote paper was the exciting bit
The mill made paper for banknotes. It's been quiet round here ever since.
Taverham's old mill made the paper for banknotes and dictionaries, which is about as exciting as it ever got round here. Thorpe Marriott spills over the parish boundary, and the whole lot is leafy, quiet and smug with it.
Crime sits at under a third of the typical town's rate. The only blots are the kitchens, with nearly twice the typical town's share of bad hygiene ratings, and the fact that for all the trees there isn't one public park. The buses into Norwich run till nearly midnight, so they can go and see what a crime rate looks like.
