Kibworth. Pick a side.
Neighbouring villages, a shared name, and centuries of not getting on.
Kibworth is really Kibworth Beauchamp and Kibworth Harcourt, and they've spent centuries refusing to do anything together, from joint councils to joint celebrations. The BBC made a whole documentary about the place, no idea why. A railway still splits the two, though the station shut years ago.
Nobody commits any crime, nobody sets fire to anything and the fly-tippers can't be bothered. So it's new houses with no school or dentist places, and the sewage. The overflows round here spill for 5.4 times as long as the typical town's. That's the one thing both Kibworths share.
