Viewpark. Nice garden, though.
Ask anybody from Viewpark where they live and they'll say Uddingston. Uddingston would like a word.
Viewpark built tractors until the factory shut in the eighties, and it's been telling people it lives in Uddingston ever since. It's got a lovely walled garden and a glen the locals bought themselves to stop it being built on. What it hasn't got is broadband. 1.7% of premises can't get superfast, over three times the typical town's share, and 118 can't even get the legal minimum.
The motorways wrap round it and the nitrogen dioxide runs a third over the typical town's. There's 1 public toilet and hardly a pub, but the Sunday buses run at three times the typical town's, so everyone can get to Uddingston.
