The view's the best thing. By miles.
Climb the Beacon and you see the whole Black Country. The town centre looks better from up there.
Sedgley's got the Beacon, with views right across the Black Country and fossils in the hill, and Baggeridge Country Park where the pit used to be. The town centre looks knackered from any height. The Bull Ring is named after bull-baiting. Probably the last time it was busy.
Back down in the streets, over half the town lives more than 400 metres from a park or a swing, which is a long walk to see the country park everyone keeps on about. Some idiot's setting fire to the bins at 2.1 times the typical town's rate, and the food's a gamble, with the share of kitchens scoring 0 to 2 at 2.6 times the typical town's. Dudley's council tax is cheap, mind. You get what you pay for.
