Say Hindley and they think prison
Locals would rather you mentioned Borsdane Wood. You won't.
Tell anyone you're going to Hindley and they'll ask who you're visiting inside. The young offenders' place gets more of a mention than the town, which made nails and dug coal and has a nice old library and an ancient wood.
The kitchens and the sewage are both shocking. A 0 to 2 hygiene rating is four times as common here as in the typical town, and the storm overflows spill for eight times as long. It chucks it down on 169 days a year. The town centre gets a bit lively of an evening.
