Who dumped a sofa on the Nab?
Eston Nab looks out over the whole of Teesside. Some bugger's dumped a sofa in front of it.
From Eston Nab you can see the whole of Teesside. Lovely. Then you look down and some bugger's dumped a mattress on the path, the hills are on fire again because some idiot thought it'd be a laugh, and the old mine workings are getting kicked to bits. Grand view, mind. Shame about the bit in front.
Deliberate fires in Eston run at over twenty-eight times the typical town's rate. That's a proper effort. Bins and rubbish go up at about fifty times. Vandalism and burglary both come in at over three and a half times the typical town's. The hills gave Teesside its ironstone. Now they're mostly kindling.
