Robin Hood parked here.
The Major Oak gets the visitors. The village gets their cars across its drives.
Edwinstowe has Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak, so it gets coachloads of Robin Hood fans too tight to pay for parking, who dump the car across your drive instead. And their litter. Thoresby pit's gone, and every summer so is the peace.
Otherwise it's clean and quiet, with half the typical town's crime and not one dodgy kitchen. The storm overflows spill at more than twice the typical town's rate, though, and Newark and Sherwood charges well over England's average in council tax for the privilege of living next to a tree. There's a vape shop if the tourists get to you. They will.
