Broken legs over a cheese
Every spring people chase a cheese down Cooper's Hill and break bones. The rest of the year, bookies and Greggs.
Brockworth's big thing is grown adults throwing themselves down Cooper's Hill after a Double Gloucester. They break bones. For a cheese. Then the crowds block every road in the place. They used to build aircraft here. Now they're famous for falling over.
The rest of the year it's bookies, Greggs and houses, and 2 pubs. There are four public swimming pools, over four times the typical town's per head, which you'd think would give the lunatics something softer to throw themselves into. And 106 premises can't even get the legal minimum broadband, so they can't watch it on their phones either.
