Posh village. Bin bags in the woods.
Footballers live here. They sit in the same motorway queue as everyone else.
Worsley's got the Delph, black-and-white houses round the green and a canal stained orange from the old mines. Footballers buy here behind electric gates. The clock at the old works used to strike thirteen at one o'clock so the men couldn't claim they'd missed the end of dinner, so the place has been taking the piss for a while.
Then you try to get on the M60 at teatime and sit there going nowhere, and somebody's dumped a fridge in Worsley Woods. The air's 1.6 times the typical town's for nitrogen dioxide, and vandalism and anti-social behaviour both run well above the typical town's. It's posh Salford. It's still Salford.
