Going down Hyde.
Werneth Low's lovely. Then you come down into Hyde.
Up on Werneth Low you get views right across Greater Manchester. Then you go down Hyde, as the locals say, and it's vape shops and takeaways round a market that's dying on its feet, with the old library left to rot.
More than half the town lives further than 400 metres from a park or play area, so the view from Werneth Low is as close as most get to green. The water company lets sewage out for nearly four times as long as in the typical town and the sun manages 1,326 hours. Hyde reckons Ashton gets all the money. Looking at Ashton, it's not done much with it.
