Scone. Kings were crowned here. Once.
Scotland crowned its kings here. Now it's new houses, a pub and an airport that's barely an airport.
Scone is where Scotland crowned its kings, on a stone that was carted off long ago. The old village got flattened to make the palace grounds bigger, and New Scone was put up down the road for the folk moved out. Now it's commuter estates going up faster than the school can cope with, and 1 pub.
It's very nearly perfect. No sewage spills, no serious crashes, nothing on fire and the air's practically empty. 17.8% of premises can't get gigabit broadband and somebody keeps reporting dog mess. That's the trouble in Scone. It's Skoon, by the way.
