Famous for being spelled out on the radio. Now famous for people falling over the kerbs.
Keynsham's claim to fame is an old radio advert that spelled out its name, letter by letter. Its new claim to fame is the High Street cycle lane, where the kerbs are so confusing people keep falling over them. Traffic hogs the High Street and there's no nightlife.
The buses run all night, half as many again as the typical town's after dark, which is a lot of buses for a town with nothing to stay up for. The banks have announced 3 branch closures, the charity shops are at over three times the typical town's per head, and the town centre's on the Heritage at Risk list as a conservation area.
